Wow I didn't see that thread. It got a bit heated then. Some of the things that were said in it were out of order, considering some of the circumstances. But despite the timing/tuning/technical faults the atmosphere still looked pretty great.

Look at the word. It consists of three parts: "trans", "scene" and "dental".
"Trans" is a prefix which means:
1 across; beyond. 2 on or to the other side of. 3 into another state or place. Originates from latin "trans" - "across".
What "scene" or "dental" is you know I suppoose. And all together it means something (a question for example) that leads to changes in usual quantity, quality or location of someone's teeth and leaves dents. So the less teeth someone possesses - the more transcedental question he has (been) asked.

As for the question itself... I do not remember the thread but am sure nobody could answer it better than James did in his travelogue :) (Author! Write more!!!)
