Don't do it guys. You don't need money that desperately.

spoken like a true fan !!!!! why should they not play to as many fans as they want and why be snobbish about venue festival the band plays at, I'm sure if the band played 20 minutes from your house you would be over the moon even if it was a back water pub or local playing field yes or no?. I have seen the pogues play in 5 diferent contries over the past 20 years from the age of 15 and would happlily see them play any venue as its the music that counts not the parking/catering facilities that count.

dont pay any attention to the web link that is for another festival that is taking place in August not September they had Burntwood is a stones throw from Lichfield so they filled there column inches with the other festival (both by the same promotions company)

Regarding the ‘Celtic Roots’ Festival in Lichfield (Sept. 2007):

I just spoke to Mervin Spence of Creative World Entrtainment Ltd of Lichfield. Mervin explained he approached The Pogues agents ‘The Agency Group’ last year to book the band for ‘Celtic Roots' and the answer was a definite “NO”. However, some months later another approach was made and The Agency Group eventually came back with a definitive ‘verbal’ “YES”. Apparently, he is currently awaiting signed contracts to arrive as confirmation. He originally wanted The Pogues to headline the Saturday 8th September but Jem is playing the Isle of Wight so they had to go for Sunday 9th September.
Mervin is hoping to get The Proclaimers as support, he is keen to get the current position into the public domain so as to dispel any disinformation.
Would be interesting to hear from Victoria or Siobhan on any firm wedding date plans. Noel, how sure are you the wedding date is set for Saturday September 8th?

Thats from Andy P Davies on the PRS site.

Sounds positive to me as Siobhan says Shane's wedding is in September but no firm date is fixed yet

Your meant to say that when you are 99 % sure of something because eating a real hat made of fabric is hard and dangerous. If they do play and you dont eat a hat AND post the pictures on the internet I think you should be banned from this forum,

It never ended as it never began. It was long courting. So this time happy couple will finally unite maybe.

Hats should never be eaten, any more than they should be stolen from the heads of guitarists. In any event, until you hear otherwise from me, nothing has changed.

Here's a nice hat for you then, DITG: http://206.112.96.146/bands/product-det ... ategory=21

I'd recommend a spicy arrabiata sauce for this one.

I am claiming lack of hats, but I am sure Walshy will testify that the hat I came to London in was rather daper?

But I won't eat it 8)
