I'm sitting in my apartment in Boston, completely exhausted after the long trip through Friday's weather to catch the Pogues in Phillie, then making it to NYC for the St. Patrick's Day show. I dug my truck out this morning and made the relatively short drive back to Boston. I'm zonked.
But after 3 nights of Pogues in Boston, then 2 nights this past weekend, I'm sitting here thinking about what the future might hold for these guys. They are obviously at the top of their game (though I'll admit, I never saw them live before they came to Boston, reunited, for the first time in '06.) They appeared to be having just as much fun on stage as the fans in the crowd. This can't be the end of things for the Pogues. I know, I know the future is nebulous, but for what it's worth, here's one devoted fan who believes in The Pogues, and waits patiently for the next chapter.
Rest up, heal up, enjoy the fruits of your labor, and thank you for a wonderful week.
