I happen to know an irish girl (by descent) who would love the chance to get up on that stage and sing with the boys....no one can replace Kristy, but it would still be nice...We can't seem to get in touch with the powers that be...any ideas????

THE SETTING: Shane's funeral, 35 years from now.

As Father McGreer rambles through the burial proceedings a disgruntled voice chimes in from the back of the crowd, "YOU MEAN HE'S NOT GONNA SING FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK???"

Jeez, I used to know how to play the tin whistle but they didn't pull
me up on stage last week. C'mon, do you really think they would do that??

Again, my understanding is it's now Ella's job. period.

well the difference is 'Mike from Boston" they happen to have a tin whistle player with them don't they??? However Ella is busy with exams and for this weekend (and last) they don't have a female to do one of their best known (and loved) songs...I don't think they're gonna be telling Ella (I saw her sing this tune last year,at the nokia, she was an angel) to get lost and i was only hoping for a beautiful song to be done.... NOT LOOKING FOR A CAREER CHANGE but to dance with Shane after that would be such a highlight get it????

Sorry to offend you Guest, but my point is all of us would love to go
up on stage with the Pogues. Plus, if this is such a "highlight" and you
are such a big fan, you would have known that Shane isn't exactly
doing much dancing these days... I think there has been about 25+
pages of posts on that subject.
