Post Sat Mar 17, 2007 6:16 pm

I can e-mail them to you. You can pay me later. I am sick as a dog, but still made it to Philly last night. What a buzz that place had!

If anyone needs the tickets, e-mail me asap, I'll e-mail the attachments to you.

Many thanks to the Pogues for a brilliant show in Philly last night. Is James Fearnley alright? Saw him take a bit of a spill when he jumped off the drum platform. There is not enough room on the stage for two wheelchairs!

Sheva, I am so very sorry! I'm sending good thoughts your way for your husband's recovery enough that you still may go see your beloved Pogues. The best to you both!

Just heard from my CO boyz who drove 1700 miles to see tonight's show at Roseland. Much relieved to hear they made it safely to the Big Apple, the show's still on, they're munchin' at the Hard Rock Cafe, takin' in the sights and countin' down to showtime. Their parting words: St. Patty's Day in NYC with the Pogues! Does it get any better than that?! *Sigh* The brats!

Thank you so much, Philip - how lovely of you to do that, and how sad I am that I couldn't hear it. Truly a bittersweet moment happening right now, made more so by the fact that as it gets later, it's becoming less likely that I'll be there tonight. Hope everything goes well and everyone has a wonderful wonderful time. I will be there in spirit, believe me!

Sorry for your missed show Sheva. Although we never had a chance to attend this tour, it still revives the excitement reading the posts here.
Don't feel too bad though...my Mrs. has a bad cold too, I'm working all weekend, and it's a chilly 62 degrees down here at 6:20 Paddy's Day.
It might go down to 50 tonight. Brrrrrr.

I can still feel that friggin' wind blowing through Manhattan one year later.

Thanks Esther and derelict. I was holding out hope for tonight, but it was just too much. This year just wasn't in the cards, I'm afraid.

But the other half is doing better today, thank goodness - the fever seems be staying around 100 and he actually managed to eat a little soup this afternoon. If he feels up to it later, I may ask him to do his Shane imitation for me - it's quite the production.

Hope tonight is glorious for everyone!

Yeah, I caught 'em, and I rather liked 'em. I think I'll try to find a CD or some such. 8) Looks like they've got a website: http://www.langhorneslim.com/

Cold like my tears

and the freezing rain in DC stepping off the bus in Chinatown.

Heartbroken, that is all. Can't muster any anger, cynicism, or sarcasm.

To Philip and all the boys - thanks so much for the best St Patty's we ever spent - the show rocked, and you all looked like you were having as great a time as we were! We loved the conga line wheeling Shane off stage! I think I spilled more whiskey than I drank and we danced 'till we could dance no more. Thanks again for all your love and music - many souls were satisfied that night and we're still glowing. Please, please come and see us again next year!!

Hey hey georgecat! It is quite a show.

Now that he's feeling better, he's even more upset that I missed the shows than I am, believe it or not. He asked me today what we can do to possibly make it up to me. I said perhaps I could go see them in December.

In London. :D

Sheva, sadly Phillip has already said elsewhere on the fora that there's to be no 2007 Xmas tour.............something about not wanting to become a predictable institution or something.
