Icy Maryland roads...oh, the humanity...

Post Fri Mar 16, 2007 11:09 pm

Can't make the show and we're heartbroken in Maryland, 2-1/2 hours away from the Electric Factory. The weather here is poor enough to not chance the roads. While I agree with the previous poster, the storm isn't very large. it's sure killed our celebration. Small storm? -yeah, but.. Oh well, at least we were fortunate to have seen the boys at the 9:30 Club last year. Still feels like a kick in the balls with nightslippers instead of Doc M's. ("Ouch" nonetheless.) HAIL TO THE POGUESkins!

Well, that's that. I'm not going.

And I can't believe people are actually falling for this whole bad storm story. It's obvious that it's really Shane's bad behaviour that's brought all this on. Come on folks, open your eyes! Ice, sleet, and hail??? That's biblical, it's clearly retribution of some sort. Shane created this weather and the rest of the band are just covering for him.

Oh, and he made my husband sick, too. And not for the first time, I can tell you.

If I don't get a check reimbursing me for my concert ticket as well as compensation for a broken heart, AND a promise that they'll come play in my backyard, well, that's it. I'm finished with them. The whole lot of them.

I might even sue Medusa.

Oh Well

Really bummed, the weather up here in Lambertville is horrible. Just got word from my neighbor that 95 is a mess. I'm not driving. Is the show really on? I'm glad for the people who are pushing through but I am feeling quite sorry for myself. Two tickets, anyone?

At this rate I'm thinking there may only be a couple hundred people there on the 17th. Yay! More Pogues and room for me. :)
What kind of fuckery is this?

15 March concert

Post Sat Mar 17, 2007 3:03 am

I've been waiting to see The Pogues in concert since my college days in the '80's. My wish came true Thursday night. The Pogues were totally awesome! I was really touched to see Shane perform in the wheelchair. That's dedication! Thanks, Shane and The Pogues. Your fans appreciate all your efforts. God Bless you Shane, and get well soon. New York City loves The Pogues!!
