Hey Noel, do you know me cuzes ... Shane and Barbara Bracken and their four grown up daughters? My uncle was Seamus Cleary (RIP), family used to own half the town at one stage?

Eamo. How are you doing? I know Shane Bracken very well. I used to live across the road from Andy's bar. His local and mine. He often had a jar with myself and Shane MacGowan there. I also know the Clearys (Renault main dealers) My late father was also in the car business. My brother Scruffy runs the show now and deals with Seamus's son Con on a regular basis. PM me and we can take it up further.

Also off topic. Mr C. There's a documentary about Antonia Leslie on TV tonight. There's some old footage of her mother on it. I'm DVDing it so if you don't get to see it give me a shout.

To The Pogues: Break legs.

8) 8) 8)

Don't say that! I don't want to read another 23 pages of this shite!

23 multiplied by 8.

Wouldn't that be 16!

What school did you attend?

Remind me not to send my kids there!

That's 23 multiplied by 16, as in 8 Pogues each with two legs = 16 legs ( not 23 x 8 ) ... ye Wigan Wally!

thank you pogues

:D A pleasure to be here, and thanks Phil for a great time in Boston. You know, I've read all the reviews etc etc etc and just want to remind people that the purpose of the show really is to have a great time with your mates, drink some beer, hear some great music, and witness a great band and a true poet. I don't care if Shane scrambles words, they didn't play this or that, ...I mean for fecks sake, enjoy yourself, jump around and loosen up. Its all about the crack y'know.

Thanks lads

Woman who answered stated that they were keeping eye on whether they were still going on tonight in NY. She said they should be able to answer by morning with a more definite answer.

I've been a devoted fan since the early 90's (High School). Seen them w/ and w/out Shane. Last year's show here in NYC was incredible and set the bar high. Reading the reviews for the earlier shows, my friends and I couldn't wait for last night's show.

I get the big picture, but wonder why Mr. Chevron, et al. couldn't have added a 4th show to honor tickets from last night. My work schedule did not permitt my to go tonight, especially since I juggled everything around last night; all remaing are sold out.

I have followed the band via this website for about 2 years and appreciate what DmZ and band members do to keep it going. Out of respect to them and the regulars w/ thousands of posts, I'll remain a "guest" because it's also pretty weak to see all the new members who have logged on in the last 24 hours to say nothing but "Fuck You".

What night are you free and we'll set it up right away? Actually, I'll have a word with the lads after tonight's gig, and see if they can do a show for you in your living room, if that suits?

March 17 Show

Post Fri Mar 16, 2007 2:19 am

Don't know if you're following this, but now the weather is the issue. A blizzard is likely going to snarl the northeast tomorrow night/Saturday. I've got to fly in -- am starting to think this is not going to happen!

Hey -- when will we get news about tonight's show (whether Shane pulled it off and will play the next 2 shows)?

Can they get to Philly and back in this weather?

Cheers
