Well, I waited outside in front of roseland today from 10 am this morning. At 6;30 tonight, we get an announcement from security that Shane is a no-show .
We were told that he was at the time getting a cast on a broken leg (perhaps boston?)
No word on the other NYC shows or philly.
The people behind me flew 4000 miles from Vancouver.
I am really angry. The other fans were too.
Spider was at the gig a couple of hours before, not sure if the rest of the band came for a sound check. Point is that they were moving along like business as usual.
Kinda pathetic that it took Shane 3 days to figure out he broke his leg.
Even money says he's in a hotel room, passed out on the couch....
damn.

Hey, dublinrambler's wife here. Hubby just called from NYC to say that tonight's show is cancelled due to Shane's fall in Boston. Apparently there are signs all over the Roseland that say tomorrow's show and Saturday's show ARE still scheduled. Refunds will be granted via Ticketmaster for anyone who had tickets for tonight's show. I'll write another update in a little while. Sorry to all you Pogues fans. This sucks.

holy crap that sucks! i hope tomorrow's show is still scheduled like people are saying. I feel bad for all the fans down there tonight.

I thought this was a hoax. I was joking with my earlier comment.
Sitting in the third row, I saw him fall on Sunday night and it did look bad. I give Shane credit for finishing the show.

Ditto. I thought he was all done for the night. He was obviously in great pain. In fact, I almost shit when he wandered on to sing back-up on "Star Of The County Down" - I figured he'd AT LEAST sit that one out.
