Looking for a ride for the Philly show

Post Mon Mar 12, 2007 5:31 pm

...or to be more precise, a ride home. If you plan to drive and will be heading towards Jenkintown/Abington/Chestnut Hill/Mt Airy/Glenside, please PM. You will have my eternal gratitude, which will be provided along with money for gas and all sorts of entertaining stories.

lol, interesting point, but although Medusans may be totally strange, they are not total strangers. 8)

we're hiring a school bus from Ardmore. leaving from J.D. McGillicuddy's Pub at 7 p.m. friday. anyone interested email me and i will give details. As it stands we have 25 of 50 seats full and it's costing $20 a head which includes a generous tip for driver. As more people come price will drop accordingly. we all just want to get there and back safely.
It'll take a lot of prayers to save my soul, so i've got to hurry up before i grow too old

ride home

Post Wed Mar 14, 2007 4:51 pm

I live in New Jersey. I'll drive you there, provided you buy me beer during the show and a six-pack for the ride home. and some gas money.

I am NOT getting on any god-damn school bus to go to and from a concert. You are going to look like the biggest group of retarts getting bussed into a show in the city. i'll pass. i'd rather take my chances behind the wheel.
i dont care how much you're saving. if i see that bus or anyone getting off of it, i will personally give you the thrashing of a lifetime. a bus. a yellow schoolbus. what a jerk.

You gotta be kidding! Who would not want to pretend they were in an episode of The Simpsons on their way to a Pogues gig? Were it not for the fact that I'm travelling in the opposite direction, I'd be there, man. Ding! Ding!

Personally, I don't see any problem with the school bus idea.

Do what needs to be done.

its interesting that you mention the simpsons......"i'll give you the thrashing of a lifetime!" is actually a direct Montgomery Burns quote.

Hey! I would take the bus. If it means I could drink...drink...drink some more...then have a drink, I'll take the bus home. It beats spending the night behind bars with "Dudley-Do-Right" telling you that you're a complete moron for drinkin' & driving and now you have no drivers license so you must to take the bus to work, take the bus to the store, take the bus to other concerts, simply because you never wanted to take the bus to begin with!! TAKE THE BUS!! :x :x :x

I love the idea of the bus, and if I lived closer to Ardmore, I'd gladly join you.

Nice call on the Simpsons, Philip - although I do hope for everyone's sake they're not hiring Otto. 8)

Mattress, thanks for the offer, but I'm not sure that filling my would-be ride home with beer would be the wisest move for me to make, so I will pass.
