Glasto would be marvellous (as I am intending to be there) but sadly I fear this is not likely to happen. The Pogues appearing I mean.

Phillip has said that they wouldn't recieve enough money to play at Glastonbury because theirs so many of them in the band.

Would love to see them at the Hebridean Celtic Festival, where they would receive a warm welcome because they would be playing to their intended audience, but the Glastonbury situation rules that out.

That's not quite what I said, but it's true that Festivals don't pay well.

The Pogues should play at Bonnaroo. That might make dolling out my $200 hard-earned (borrowed) dollars a little easier.

i'm thinking about it aswell, tickets are going to be hard to get as usual, i think i'd try a bit harder if the Pogues were on the bill though

So are you playing any festivals this year? By that post I'd guess that you are.

Darn the Proclaimers are healining... hmmm...

More interestingly Moving Hearts are playing too, they are apparently inspired byt the Pogues, can anyone shed some light on them for me. I've never heard of them before.

Good band -- Christy Moore was formerly a member, though no longer. There's a (rather dated) entry on them on Wiki if you want to look them up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moving_Hearts
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

Proclaimers headlining is tough. Although "I´m gonna be" is still a very great song.

that is true but a lot of bands benefit from album sales after a good performance plus the tv coverage is a lot better nowadays so even more exposure to a varied audience.
would you have been tempted to headline fleadah if it was re-introduced to the festival calendar seen as it is the pogues 25th year.

planning to go to glaso and beautiful days festivals this year.

proclaimers headlined beautiful days last yer fridsy night i think and really surprised me great live band
