We all wonder that, indeed it might be fair to say it is one of the great psycho-social metaphysical questions of the age. And if he is going, will he be taking all his wits with him or just some of them? But none of us has a definitive answer, certainly not I and probably not even Shane.

But Jem finally has a new suit, so there's something to look forward to.

It was hoped that the Large Hadron Collider would be able to come up with the definitive answer to this. But when they put it to work on this last great unfathomable question of human existence, it found it was just too big a question, and look what's happened to it now.

Back in 1986 or so, Shane was only given six months to live, so I doubt he is still around, let alone touring :P

People have been predicting Shane's death for ages. And yes, he's still very much alive (51 years and still kicking) so I'm a little confused by this. There's a really good quote by him:

"The British press have been giving me six months to live for the past twenty years they must be getting pissed off interviewing me by now."

Pretty much sums it up, no?

Just Mike being snarky. This question comes up early and often before each tour.

I did not see a definitive answer to dsdfsgf's original question. So I will answer by saying YES it is assumed that Shane will be a member of The Pogues for the Spring 2009 North American Tour. Sometimes it is hard to get a straight answer from some of us crusty old Medusan's who use this forum daily as a form of life support.

Crusty? Old? Not I. I am, however, slightly oblivious to sarcasm. My apologies, Mike. We need a sarcasm font on here or something. The sad thing is that I *have* seen people think that Shane is already dead. :x

Sorry girlfromcountyhell, I was not referring to you. I have read your posts and know that you are a young vivacious Pogues fan. I must have been thinking of DzM...
