Friday Night In Boston???

Post Wed Jan 24, 2007 7:55 pm

I was checking the Live Nation site and they have a Friday night show (3/9) listed as going on sale Friday along with the others...is this a communication breakdown with the promoter, or should I gear up to order tix to this show as well?

If DzM or Phillip would be able to add any solid information to this situation, I would be forever grateful and, as a token of my gratitude, I'd be happy to attach a picture of my gorgeous two year-old in her Pogues onesie...

I'm wondering the same thing. The Friday listing was posted on the LiveNation website on Monday. Seeing that it's Wednesday afternoon, that's quite awhile for a concert listing to be f'd up if the listing is incorrect.
Either way, I'm planning on pitching a tent outside Bukowski's or JJ Foleys for the weekend.

The future is nebulous. If that show is still there when the sale date starts, buy 'em. The worst that'll happen is that you'll get a refund later on.

Done...I really hope there is indeed a Friday night show, since I have endured a day of guilt from the missus about the three shows in three days thing...

In showbusiness, not everything happens the way one would prefer. The band, Medusans and DZM have all been wrong-footed by the promoters ignoring their own self-imposed embargo on news of the 3rd Boston show. (Yes, there is one at the Avalon on Friday March 9). The promoters are unlikely to apologize to you, so I will.

Anyway, the important thing here, for any Boston Stragglers who have yet to buy tickets, is that all three Boston shows are expected to be sold out by the end of this week. You heard it here first.

No need for apologies. Anyone, like myself, who nabbed Friday tix feels like they accomplished the coup of the century. To Mr. C and all others involved - Thanks for adding the third show!!!

Saturday is sold out.
Sunday is virtually sold out - avail orchestra seating is way back in row R or S which leaves approx 2 rows of unclaimed tix
Nobody was really aware of the Friday show outside of this thread. I've since contacted at least 2 dozen people who've, in turn, purchased Friday ducats.

I saw the friday show tickets the day they went on sale.

I really wanted Saturday night tickets, but settled for Sunday.

My preference was to spend time in the city BEFORE the concert, rather than follow the concert with time in the city.
