Very hard to believe the prices on some of the ticket sites for these shows. Great for the consumer, but I'm nearly welled up thinking of these brokers who overbought.
With these prices, I'm seriously thinking of jumping on a plane next week.

Now I'm very pleased to see that the Che second team is not opening on the 14th at all.

The Holloways sound infinitely more promising.
F yez all.

ST Patty's tickets (4)

Post Wed Mar 07, 2007 11:06 pm

Hey all. Just found out I can't make the St Patrick's Day show (or the parade, for that matter). Sucks for me, saw last years show, 3 dates, every one was incredible.
I live in Philly, and I'm seeing them at the Electric Factory.....so don't feel too bad for me!

I have for tickets for $250 flat. I'll pay for the overnight shipping.
E-mail me at beves@youthservicesagency.org

Thanks!

William Elliot Whitmore.
He's great. Never seen him live but he's gotten nothing but rave reviews from Medusians who've had the chance to catch him live.

Paraphasing P. Chevron: Whitmore at 7:30, Interval at 8:00; Pogues around 8:30

My cousin shamed our family name last year by asking everyone-and-anyone at a post show bar if the opening band "Interval" was any good. In retrospect, it was hysterical.

Will has been/is on tour w/Red Sparowes (correct spelling according to the band's myspace page), but it is my understanding that during some dates in Canada, Will shall open for the Pogues instead. Will's tour dates: http://www.southern.com/southern/tour/WILEW

I was also wondering who was opening tonight...
strange that even livenation.com says that William Elliot Whitmore is opening tonight...it also says that "outernational" is opening Sunday's show at the Orpheum..maybe it will be them tonight as well?

Thursday, 3/8/07 The Pogues with William Elliot Whitmore Avalon Boston, MA
Friday, 3/9/07 The Pogues with William Elliot Whitmore Avalon Boston, MA
Saturday, 3/10/07 The Pogues with William Elliot Whitmore Avalon Boston, MA
Sunday, 3/11/07 The Pogues with Outernational Orpheum Theatre Boston, MA

thanks Carina. i ended up calling the Avalon, and they have a recording on shows -
set times will be available later this afternoon and will be the same for all Avalon shows. the number is 617-262-2424. press 2, and then press 2 for set times for the night's shows.

maybe mr. whitmore is doing 2 openers tonight in Boston. not impossible!

TT the Bears is right down the street from me - it lists WEW going on at 10:30PM. So that would certainly be doable if he was finished @ Avalon at 8PM...
