This only encourages my fantasies of another 2 night stand in Las Vegas. Oh lord, 2007 is getting off to a great start.

Excellent profanity for a first post!
:D Welcome!

This self-same profanity almost got me drunken-beat-up during the L.A. shows in October, and DID get me a really bad hair cut.

Also of note for those not obsessively checking the front page (or the beginning of this thread):

Dates and venues have been announced.
“I know all those people that were in the film [...] But that’s when they were young and strong and full of life, you know?”

5:16AM and the news is already out!!!

Avalon AND the Orph in Boston? Superb. See you at both, hopefully right up front for the Avalon show and, considering I don't drink anymore, holding that spot should be quite easy. Thanks again boys!!!!

Generally $50 and your soul.... but you get that back later. Mostly.

I see BA are doing return flights to NYC for £189 if you book before a certain date. Don't know the details but could be worth a look.

If I did "me toos", I'd post one here.

Why don't you go for it, Walshy? You know you want to. :)

I've just sent a text round to the lads of:

"a bit of a mad thought, but if i could book a trip to NYC around St. Patricks weekend for 4 nights for £350 would ye be up for it?!"

two texts so far

1 - Not sure, maybe.

2- It's a bit expensive! why not go somewhere closer like a European country or perhaps Dublin?

Never say never. It would be well worth £350, if you can do it for that. Well Worth It, especially if you've never been to NYC before......and of course it will be Paddy's day......and OF Course there is some gig or other on 8)

Ah, Walshy, kick your mates' arses and make them go. They'll thank you for it later. It's not really a mad thought at all, it's just the sort of thing you (or anyone) should do while they can.

I haven't told them The Pogues are going to be there because they might think it's a selfish act on my part.. when it so totally isn't

I actually don't think I want to travel into NYC for st paddy's day. I want to but it's gonna be hectic and so much traffic. Maybe I can take the train in...I think I might just wait for the announcement for a show on the 18th :)
