SAY GOODBYE TO HOLLYWOOD

Post Sat Oct 21, 2006 7:05 am

Thanks everyone for playing your part in making these three Los Angeles shows so memorable for us.

Completists note: "The Bicycle Michael" appeared tonight just before "A Pair Of Brown Eyes".

Thank you guys so much. You made my life, seeing you guys. I saw you tonite and Wednesday....have to say tonite was much better. The crowd was much more energized, and very friendly and cool. Mr. C, missed ya after the show unfortunatley tho I did catch Spider, Terry and James. Again, incredible show and Fiesta tonite was fantastic. Please come back sometime!!

I'm sure all Medusans (or Medusonatolariates as I like to think of us) would be delighted to know Thousands of Sailors was dedicated to them; and would be happy to dedicate their applause back to you.

Thanks for the fantastic shows.

You sure it was "sailors"? I thought that would have been in San Francisco.

Wiltern Fri. 10/20

Post Sat Oct 21, 2006 5:35 pm

No Philip, thank you-what a great two nights, and Fri. was the capper. I thought the crowd was a little slow to get into gear, but by the 3rd or 4th song everybody was off and running. I spent a good part of the show looking at the guy next to me, who had a look on his face I'll never forget-like a kid at Christmas. Sometimes he would just laugh with joy. We sang, beat on the railing (we were in the front of the third riser), and cheered. About halfway through the show I reached out to shake his hand, and he told me that he had waited 20 years for this, and that they are the BEST. I think that pretty much sums it up for any Angelenos who attended.

Thanks again...

Last night was in a word: amazing. My first time seeing The Pogues, and I was so excited before the show, I feared I might be dissapointed. I wasnt. Not a bit.

Thanks for an amazing show boys, and thanks to those next to me in the pit keeping me from being stomped on.

You missed us famous people then!

I was only in town for the Friday show but they didn't run out of beer like the Borgota did March 6th, so kudos to The Wiltern.

I only made it to the Grove show 10/17, but it was a doozy!

Thank you guys so much! And please, don't stay away so long this time!!!

My 7 year old was devastated when we told him he couldn't come to the show- scored him a t-shirt though...
