Many thanks. We always need luck. The Muses are usually with us, but not always their more corporeal equivalents. We leave tomorrow.

Having never flown to Japan myself, i was just wondering do you's have to stop off somewhere or can you get direct flights from the UK to Japan?

I think it's direct. You only stop somewhere exotic and enticing for 5 minutes on your way to the Antipodes.

The Eagles have landed. The Pogues got here too. All eight of us. It's Sunday night here in Osaka. My bed looks very inviting.

Watch this space for any showtime changes etc.

The Eagles and the Pogues on the same ticket!!! :? :o Those Japanese do have eclectic taste.
Just out of curiosity, Philip, I'd be interested to hear about what the band eats while in Japan. I like Japanese foods but obviously don't see much of the real thing in our sushi bars and occasional Japanese joint (two per city).
Looking forward to hearing about the shows from the other fans as well. Cheers!

Right now I'm eating a Hamburger from Room Service, but this is not necessarily typical - my body was just crying out for familiar comfort food after the long trip. We eat, well, eclectically. There is unlikely to be anything to match the big blowout of the 1988 Tour, when the record company took all of us - and some of the crew - to the smartest restaurant in Tokyo, with fine food and finer wine. And then picked up the tab. And people wonder why CDs are co expensive in Japan! They have to recoup that meal somehow sometime.

"Hot potato, off his drawers, pluck to make amends!"

or

"Hot potato, orchestra stalls, but we'll make amends!"

if you prefer some crazy person's closed-captioning.
