(I can't speak English. I'm sorry for my poor English.)

I want to say thank you for an amazing show in Nagoya.
What a great performance...and a great "Fairytale Of New York"! :D I didn't expect to hear the song in Japan. It was too marvelous for words.
But I'm sorry for the man who stormed stage in the middle of Fiesta. What on earth was he thinking?
Well, anyway, have a good time on the rest of the tour.
Domo Arigato!!!!

He's a member of a worldwide sect who's primary objectives are to jump on stages everywhere and break the security guys' (and band members) balls.

I saw someone try that at a Rollins Band show. Henry reached over, stuck his hand into the waistband of the guys' pants, and threw him off the front of the stage with one hand. I don't think he even missed a beat of the song.

The crowd loved it!

Yeah. It's not funny. it's not clever and no, the band members do NOT have a sneaking regard for crowd divers, as the conspiratorial grins we get from them seem to suggest. We wish you'd stay your side of the barrier so we can do our job properly.

...bound for California/a place I know right well...

How it was?

We thought it was mostly pretty good, allowing for a few first night nerves. We've had to drop "Star Of The County Down", as Andrew has had quite bad laryngitis for the past 6 weeks. The audience was great! 8)

If Andrew is still feeling under the weather by the time the Pogues reach California, perhaps "Star of County Down" should be replaced by "The Leaving of Liverpool?"

(Sorry - I just love cliches!)

Looking forward to all 4 San Francisco gigs!

I can believe it! He is about as fond of stage divers as is his boyhood friend, Ian MacKay (Fugazi). We saw Henry stop a show mid-song to educate his audience about the dangers that can be found onstage, such as power cables strewn about -- and to demonstrate, he put a bare foot under a group of five or six heavy cables and lifted them waist-high, and maintained that position until he finished talking!

Osaka and Nagoya.. bloody brilliant!! IMHO I think Nagoya was a bit better.. the crowd was smaller and friendlier and I didn't get as many kicks to the head.. the band seemed a little more at ease as well..
Fairytale was grand with Ms. Finer on vocals and her dad grinning from ear to ear!
Highlights: Mr. C's fedora, Fairytale, a wee girl beside me crying her eyes out to Rainy night in Soho, Spider's announcement (congratulations sir), and just seeing the band again!! Last night was Number 30 for me :D :D
Sorry for the lad who had Spiders tray only to have it snagged away by some drunken idiot who ran out the exit..
Thursday and Friday should be a blast.. Mr. C, if you read this Please say thanks to Ross from me.. Thanks and see you in Tokyo.. :D
