If the Nagoya gig was better than Osaka fair play. Only at Osaka meself-cruised up until bottle of smoke; from there on in the way they clicked into a higher gear was absolutely phenomenonal.
Cheers, a rare old session in Murphys afterwards..still recovering

not being from Osaka, me and my friend wandered around looking for Murphy's for about 45 minutes after the gig.. couldn't remember where it was and gave up which is sad as we had found it before the show!! Stumbled into something resembling a British pub - the Pig and Whistle maybe.. listened to a 40 something American telling us why so many Jewish people have chosen to live there - made a hasty exit back down to Dotonbori and found that most things were closing by 11.. Had a couple of tins down by the river and found our way back to the Hotel.. it was easy to find - the 4 gigantic heads outside sort of gave it away.
Cheers to Murphys (Osaka) and Coopers in Nagoya.. Paul, Fergus and all the Japanese Pogues fans for making the last 2 days good fun.. Next stop - Shibuya Ax or a pub along the way. :D

He's a member of a worldwide sect who's primary objectives are to jump on stages everywhere and break the security guys' (and band members) balls.

Yeah. It's not funny. it's not clever and no, the band members do NOT have a sneaking regard for crowd divers, as the conspiratorial grins we get from them seem to suggest. We wish you'd stay your side of the barrier so we can do our job properly.

very well put philip, all the best in japan, see you in manchester dec 16

What are japanese crowds like? are they all drunk? ive heard they go mental during the songs and then theres a polite silence between songs as apposed to "COME ON YOU FUCKING WANKERSS!!!" you get in england.

The merchandise for Japan seems to be what is available on-line already.. prices are a bit inflated mind.. $35 US for a tshirt, $45 for the scarf, $15 for the key chain..

Japanese crowds are good fun.. obviously a drink or two before the show but not wankered out of their heads. Respectful is the way I would put it..

Thanks for the photo link CDN Steve.. It was near impossible to get any photos of the band inside if you didn't have the press pass.. I saw a young lad get hit in the face by one of the security lads for taking a pic.. :(
