My first trip to the U.K., I won an MTV contest to attend The Donnington Festival with Iron Maiden headlining. Part of the prize was running onstage during I.M.and singing backup w/some other contestants. The concert is documented in the B&W footage of G'N'R's Paradise City video. We went out into the crowd for G'N'R and I recall lots of mud and huge jugs in which the attendees carried their drink, then pissed in and threw over the crowds heads. At the backstage bar drinks were L 1.50 or something and I had pocketfulls of pounds++. It's probably the closest I've ever been to alchohol poisoning in my life.It was surreal, just hanging around in some party tent with Lemmy walking by.We also got to go up to Capital Records to pick up $500, weird building inside. We got emergency passports for the trip and I looked so increadibly high in my photo I was sheepish whilst using it. Ah, the 80's.

Me and my Father will most likely be there to. Do you have difficulties trying to prenounce my alias, just call me Per, and having troubles with that to? Buy me a drink :)

Im the young, tall one wearing a Boys From The County Hell t-shirt, my father is just the tall one.

So add Per and Kjell to the list!

hey Georgecat here...so there might be a slight problem.I think V and McG's is closed. Friends of mine have passed it in the last week and it has not been open. So who know if they will open just for Point shows?

Maybe we can set up an alternative? The Met is at O'Connell and the street north of the Liffey? Or there is a great pub I can't remember the name of around the corner from ther on Marlbourough street.

Tried to call Vallance & McGraths and there's no answer. Anybody know of any other good pubs nearby? Preferably somewhere that's no so difficult to find.
