FH, if memory serves, the only flat surface entrance at the Academy is the stage door, which is at the same level as the stage. If all else fails, we'll get you in that way.

Thanks - that's good to know! And I really do appreciate your concern.
Obviously the last time I was there it was possible to get a wheelchair in through the front entrance... but basically it involved getting manhandled (personhandled?) up the portable ramp by the security guys, which is not exactly the most delightful of experiences.
Of course it was worth it in the end. But, soulless as they often are, it's a reason why modern venues do have some advantages. Which is why I'm intending to do the NIA as well this year. (Perhaps we'll start the thread on that one nearer the time. )

The Transmetropolitan Tour? Difficult now that Surrey Docks no longer exists. I remember the day they changed the signs in the tube station and the once proud, historic Surrey Docks became poncey fuckin Surrey Quays. The councillors who voted for it should be shot.
