Glasgow

Post Fri Nov 03, 2006 9:45 pm

Got a bit quiet on the forum after the US gigs. So: Anyone looking forward to the Glasgow gigs? Travelling from Norway to both opening day and following day. Anyone who knows about a good place to "get the heat on" before the shows? Was in Brazenhead last year. A cozy place; Pogues music streaming from the speakers all the 5 hours I spent there....... but any other "more lively" place could be nice to try out. Cant wait till december anyway though.. just 5 weeks to go!

Um, yes. Looking forward to that. Got a whole new 90 minute Radiators show to learn first though. The pantomime at the King's Theatre is always a lively place.

You´re right, it´s time to arrange a meet-up for Glasgow. I´m travelling from Sweden and going to both shows as well. I was also at the Brazen Head last year and I think it will be the place for som pre shows drinks again, mainly because it´s close to the venue. It was a bit cozy as you say but I think the more people who come, the better the atmosphere.

I know Johan from Sweden is coming, Mike & Terry from Texas, Truusje from Holland, Carmen? Who else??

Let´s start the discussion.

See you all in Glasgow

Cheers Mats

Will follow Mr. Chevron's advice and visit King's Theatre one of the nights during my stay. What I've read about the place sounds interesting. Interesting too with Radiators. Just read about the band so far.

The Brazen Head seems to be the natural meeting place since its so near the Academy as you points out mats. So with a few Scandinavians, a couple of Texans and hopefully a lot of other Pogues-fans the pub will "light up" for sure.
See ya all there.

Cheers.

YHEEEEEEEEEE
I´ll be there.
But first i´ll be at McGinns (Hope street) from Saturday 9 th and forward :D :D
Hope to go to some cozy music session on Sunday like we did last year, can´t remember the place thou. I´ll know the direction when i´ll get
there

I´m so looking forward to see you all there this year to, You know who you are. (and all new faces to)

Since McGinns is such a smal place i think Brazen Head would be the best place for a pre show meet. then we´ll see what happens.

I´m soooooooooooooo longing for Glasgow now.

Have a nice weekend

Cheers

Mats, Johan,

You must both raise a glass, or two, for us. We have had to cancel our trip.

We were so looking forward to meeting with everyone again, not to mention the shows. But it is not possible this time.

Please take pictures. :)
