The full phrase in French is "Plus ça change, plus c'est la meme chose." which translates as "The more things change, the more things stay the same".
Fintan, you really are a fountain of knowledge, aren't you

Meh. As stated before - just quick on my fins. I knew this one, but still needed help with the full expression. And as for pronouncing it? Well, my French is, shall we say, non-existent? :) Great expression though.

Yeah it is a really good expression, and very true.

Not yet, no, not having actually BEEN to Ireland. But I'll be there in October this year (Ireland that is). And as for getting to The Point, well that's something I often have trouble with, innit?

Plus ca change.

Still, despite all this, Dublin in both 2004 and 2005 were among the best shows on the tour.

what does Plus ca change mean?

Do you mean technically the best or you enjoyed them the most? you seemed to enjoy yourselves more at Brixton.....you were up on Shane's stool during Repeal! It was awsome.

Maybe you could organise a gig for Medusans in some small venue, tell the other lads it's a rehersal...we'd all turn up, Oh what a night.

I did the "Repeal" stool business on all the 2004 shows except Dublin, where the borrowed stool was of inferior substance. But I think I did the stool thing in Dublin in 2005. Or perhaps not. Either way, there's always a special vibe at the Point. I think it's partly because it's usually the last show until.................until who knows when?

I'm still with Dublin Rambler on this one, looks like we're in the minority though. I'm loathed to miss the Point gig because there's always the thought it could be the last ever show...
