Spider or Philip. Do you have support organised for San Fran. yet? Some friends of mine (The Hooks) are living there. They supported The Popes over here a few times. They asked me to contact Shane about it but I can't track him down at the moment.

Assuming Spider is correct in previosu posts that the Saw Doctors will be supproting them at some time, I looked on their website and it gave the following info:

December 1 Liverpool Philharmonic
December 2 Glasgow Barrowlands
December 4 Leeds Irish Centre
December 5 Newcastle City Hall
December 7 Bristol Colston Hall
December 9 London Shepherd's Bush Empire
December 10 Southampton The Brook

I think I may have said something like this once before but the best thing about the Saw Doctors as support is that you know you can have longer in the pub.

Now the Saw Doctors are ok and I enjoyed them when they supported the Pogues in 2004, but I don't think I'd go as far as to see them at the Liverpool Phil.

Saw the Saw Doctors recently (at Fareham). Superb live band, great songs, very genuine fellas who look like they are having the time of their lives which transfers to the crowd. You couldnt fail to enjoy yourselves.
Anyone who sings about the Green & Red of Mayo can't be bad either !

This would make the firehazard girls very happy. Yes, Julian Casablancas is a bit of a fan, apparently. But I don't think the Strokes are up for being a support band these days.

Great band. Can't wait to see them live.

How bout Jello Biafra doing his spoken word thing. Poetry. With a huge Velcro picture of George Bush behind him .... and sell fuzzy balls to the crowd, and donate the money to something "anti-war."
What kind of fuckery is this?
