Dont think I heard this story before..
Please Mr Chevron, Could you tell us about it???

Let James himself tell it:
James Fearnley wrote:We go on stage. I’ve been waiting for the right moment to say this and I’m glad it turns up: I walk up to the microphone and say, ‘How did all these people get into Shane’s room?’ It’s a reference to Sinatra at the Sands in 1966.

Find some time to please yourself with James' Bloguemahone. You won't regret. Great (entertaining and informative) reading, loads of charming moments of Pogues' modern history...

Now, the opportunity to say such a thing in Vegas would be a thing wouldn't it? If only I didn't abominate the place. I went there once, a long time ago, and had a miserable time, still it'd be better than Atlantic City I suppose, which is a pretty much drab and humourless place, in my experience. At least Vegas isn't situated on a bog.

Ok James, I'll get on to our agent Jeremy right away and tell him to put on a show for us in Vegas. Sometime in October maybe?

Nah, in a huge sand box. Don't they distribute scoops and buckets?

If you are going to be on the West Coast as it is, why not pop up to Canada and make it a truly international tour.

We have good beer (better than that American stuff, but that's just my opinion).

The Elvis-O-Rama Museum is worth the trip to Vegas.

Why play Vegas when you can play Portland? James, I'm sure I could convince the Decemberists to go

Hmm...The Fillmore. The mind is already racing. NYC trip is nearly paid off, two more weeks of vacation time this year. Never been to Cali...a good friend in Burbank always asking me to come on out for a visit. There has to be more shows, as I can't see the band traveling all that way for just Monday and Tuesday gigs. Maybe an outdoor fest at the DzM ranch.

Please to be looking at the front page. And for those that don't want to click over there:

The Fillmore shows are confirmed. Tickets go on sale publicly on Sunday. Internet pre-sales-just-for-the-cool-people start tomorrow, May 18, at 2:00PM Pacific Time. The URL for the pre-sale will be available shortly.

As it's been pointed out ... It would be awfully silly to travel all this way for only two shows.
