I've been a life long fan of the pogues. I have only just found this forum which looks tops
I am an Irish person who now lives in Perth, Western Australia and I was just wondering where i'd find out if the Pogues plan to tour Australia anytime soon?
Cheers people

Phil,
Is there any possible chance that whilst you are playing in Japan that you could head to Australia for some gigs.

And lo, I beheld a pale rider, and I did agree heartily with the trumpeting words which they spake (but in a non-pushy, we-can-wait-we're-colonials-we're-good-at-waiting kinda way)...
May the Borea Australis waft them fellas down our way soon...

I see that they have been doing some tours lately....I'd kill to see them in Oz.
And don't forget....that death followed the Pale Rider whereever he went.

*Posting vainly in please come to Australia thread.*
Hey Aussies - I reckon everyone should start inundating Michael Koppel et al about getting The Pogues out here. I think it's the $$$ and lack of a decent offer from a promoter that are the real obstacles of getting the band here.

Um, frankly no. We're already doing a Continent-hop to get to San Francisco, with just one day to reacclimatize.

Yes, they must come to Autralia. I will inundate Michael Coppel with calls and emails, what more should I do? All you Aussies, let us pool our resources and get them down here. If Brian Wilson with a 10 piece band can come to Australia 3 times in as many years (there abouts anyway), we surely can get the Pogues here.

Phil,
You've just broken my heart. Its been fifteen years since you last toured our sunny shores

Why do you always seem to play in Japan, while we
seem to miss out.....especially when Japan is not that far away?? You know that your previous gigs here have been fantastic....and we'd love at least one more chance to see the band live. Who knows you may never tour again.

Maybe you could go to Japan instead? I don't expect the Pogues to play Norway anytime soon, so I'll treat myself to a couple of days in London instead
