"Thousands" from 3/15

Post Fri Mar 17, 2006 1:02 am

OK, this is the very first time I have tried this. It SHOULD be a full length clip of Philip singing "Thousands Are Sailing" from Boston last night (3/15). Keep in mind as you watch it that I am not Ted Demme or Martin Scorsese by a damn sight!

Did the old songs taunt or cheer you, and did they still make you cry?

Looks like you had good seats? Nice job and Rock On! 8)
First we drank some whiskey.
Then we had some gin.
Then we had tequila,
A-ha, that's what did me in!

Yes. Very nice. I was in the 4th or 5th row on the Orchestra left. I don't know if you saw the gentleman in the green shirt run up on stage during one of the encores, but that's where I was. I have couple more that I will try to post. It takes a while to do it. Look back tomorrow and I'll try to put up "County Hell". I didn't use the zoom on it, so it looks a bit farther back, but not too much.

Get better soon Davey! Nice DVD, aspirin, lovely tea etc, and you can make your own St Patrick's Day next weekend.

And I hope the Pogues play in the UK before next Christmas, ideally some pleasant summer festival.

You're not going to be late for the parade, are you, Mr. C.?

If you're marching (as you mentioned that you might,) imagine some extra cheers coming from some o' the Medusans who are far from NYC today, but are there in spirit.

I was only going to join the parade if I could march with the ostracised Irish Lesbian Gay Transgendered contingent, but after the initial approving noises, I heard no more from them.

As a wee lad, I had enough of St Patrick's Day parades to last a lifetime (see MY FIRST ALBUM thread).

I like this "Dr. Phil" better than I like the Texan one with the afternoon talk show. :D
