Yea. I always go downtown for the bloom when I can. And the trick is to be there just before full peak. I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel very proud and happy that the Pogues are decending on my town, and may already be here.

Mr. C. has confirmed that he's here. Presumably some, if not all, of his bandmates are also in DC.

Its funny... all the preparation, all the anticipation, all of the what-ifs, all the communication, all of the alternative plans and changes to plans.... and I'm still not ready. My god, I have become a control freak!
Guess I've got to let go, and let Pogue!

Cherry blossoms? Pogues gigs? Coincidence of events? I think not! I predict that if cherry blossom should fall as Pogues play, then verily a swarm of Japanese Pogues fans/cherry blossom enthusiasts will descend upon the gig-hosting city. And lo, there shall be a great river of warm sake, and it actually tastes a bit like this poitín I had once and......*fades off into distance*

I'm off to K Street to find a lobbyist about just that.

I hear there's some guy named Abramoff that could probably pull a few strings.
