Don't spend $350 on airfair, and nearly $500 on tickets for 2 to see the Pogues for 4 nights in NYC when you still don't know if you'll make it :(

Well then... there's some hope for someone tonight. :o

Anyways.... When preserving public safety, do not under any circumstances take on a guy with a tire iron until he first uses his iron wielding hand to catch his balance, and at that time lead with your knee to his head and beat the snot out of him until he cannot get back up, and as quickly as possible if he is on drugs. You will be amazed at how this advice will apply to other situations where you find yourself at an obvious disadvantage against an unreasonable boss/friend/customer/etc.... (not the beating the snot part)

Dude, that sucks. I hope this doesn't hint at things taking a bad turn for Mrs. Derelict.

I'm thinking good thoughts at you, and am hoping that I'll find a way to make it to Manhattan whereupon it will be my very great pleasure to buy you and Mrs. Derelict a drink.

'Cause there's a good chance I can make The Company pay for me to be in Manahattan for a week. I don't think I can convince them to pay for me to be in D.C. though. I'll work on finding a feeble excuse to hae The Company pay for it.

I just went back and found your SITREP on your daughter's situation. We're all hoping/praying that she pulls through, and that you can make it to a show or two. :)

Do that. I'm sure a ticket will materialize, and we'de love to have you. And lodging and transportation would not be a problem.

You're making me blush.

Transportation and Lodging is all part of having The Company pay for it. Having The Company pay for it involves finding a business related thing to do during the day while I'm there.

We'll see.

Not necessarily a bad turn, just another chapter in the seemingly endless saga. The C has been declared "in remission," but to ensure it stays there, it will be 25 straight days of low-dose radiation, with no set starting date.
Luckily, (with regards to the trip to NY,) radiologist called this morning, and said "get down here, and let's do it," so it has begun.
As long as the Mrs. continues with, "we're going DAMMIT," we'll be there

WooHoo!

Eww. That really sucks ass. Radiation can make you wonder if the treatment is really worth it.

Both WooHoo and Eww. You guys be strong.

:) I'm looking forward to meeting her. She sounds like a great lady.

Bah! Now you're making me blush too.
