Pogues Pub in NYC?

Just found out there's a bar in New York City called "Pogues Pub" at 1425 Second Ave (@74th St) Anyone know anything about the place? Could be an idea for some pre-show drinks? It would be three miles in a taxi to the Nokia ... just a thought!

There's an "Irish Pub" in the Shibuya district of Tokyo call "The Dubliner." When I was there in July they had a hand lettered sign just inside the door:

POGUES DRINK THURSDAYS!

When this was passed along to some of the band the response was varied:

"I thought we drank all days of the week"

"We should go there on Thursday."
“I know all those people that were in the film [...] But that’s when they were young and strong and full of life, you know?”

Shane could really end up ANYWHERE in NYC....i expect himand BP Fallon will do at least 1 death disco after one of the gigs....also Shane will more than likely be drinking @ rocky sullivans btn. 28th and 29th st. on lexington ave.

OK, I'll bite. Why will Shane most likely be drinking at Rocky Sullivan's? :? There are dozens of pubs way closer to the venue.

Because it is republican bar. Opened by one of the guys from Black 47.
