Isn't it great to get known as a man who smashed East coast...

The Metro is NOT A GOOD CHOICE

:!:

I know this may reach some people too late (if at all), but the Metro is a bad idea because it closes early on weekdays.

I just checked the timetable and the last trains out are 11:31 from Greenbelt and 11:41 from Branch Avenue.

DON'T GET STRANDED. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO BE LOST.

btw, if you do take the Metro there, there's usually a sizable queue of cabs queued up outside after most shows...

I'm not familiar with Metric (the band from the early show tonight), but from the looks of their site I suspect its kind of synth dance music. What an odd juxtoposition. A few hundred happy young Metric fans exit, in their predominantly black clubwear..... and spill into a sea of 2000 green-clad scruffy slightly older Pogues fans who have been primed with more than a decade of longing, three months of anticipation, and probably a few drinks by that time.

Hey Eric,

will you have a cell phone with you tonight? If so, e-mail it to me and then i'll call you when I arrive. I already e-mailed you anyway, but just in case I posted here. I look forward to meeting some of you all!

Sweet, then that should make it easy to find you. Unless of course everyone starts following your chant- lol!

Hi all... I've never posted here, but I've been "lurking" since tickets went on sale. Just popping in to say I hope everyone enjoys tonight! I'll be there tomorrow with bells on :D Looks like DC9 is the place to be beforehand? I might stop in the join in the festivities before the gig.

Mee too. Have a good safe uneventful flight. And remember to give the Transportation Safety Administration officer our special salute when he goes to feel you up. See you tomorrow. We'll try to keep the riot police away.

haha Very funny. I've had pretty good luck at airports. Only been pulled aside to be searched about 30% of the time.

This is the longest day ever....the flight will be even longer I'm afraid. :D

Well, I have to go and pick my daughter up from school in a minute so I'll be leaving the virtual world here to enter into the actual world where I will see some of you, and your actual personalities, as opposed to your electronic personalities. I hope to get over to DC 9 for a little while, and I'll see some of you in line, I'm sure.

I'm going, I'm going, where streams of whiskey are flowing. See you there! :D

Hey, how many times do you think the staff of the (:30 Club or DC 9 will be asked for 15 beers? Well, at least once from me, that's for sure. :o What? I'm sharing. 8)

If any of the bartenders got that line, I'd share with them.
