My feeling is the US shows will be strongly continuous with the elements that worked best in the UK, Ireland, Japan and Bilbao.

We did rehearse a bunch of stuff including Waltzing Matilda, Transmetropolitan and Dark Streets. However, Shane either wasn't there, couldn't remember the words or flatly refused to do them.

That exactly the three songs I'd like to hear on the new set list! (with Sea Shanty)
Try to convince Shane... and he has three months to remember the words :)

North of Spain.
The show was more in Vitoria-Gasteiz though.

Waltzing Matilda would be unbelievable....as would Transmetropolitan, and my aforementioned Waxies...but they would all be a handful for Shane

...as would Johnny Come Lately, a song I didn't really appreciate until a few months ago.

Was "A Pair of Brown Eyes" not on the setlist for the Christmas shows for any of these reasons?

He played songs with The Popes that the Pogues dont play until very recently such as Poor Paddy and Greenland Whale Fisheries and when I saw him was doing songs anyone requested him to do at one point in the gig so thats weird that he refused to do those songs. Did anyone say 'ahhh, c'mon Shane me lad, how about you do em just this once?' Or was his decision final?

BTW: Is there a rule that except for Shane none of the others may sing more than one song?

Seriously - why not add songs such as Drunken Boat, Lorelei, Gartloney Rats or just let Jem sing Me and BobbyMcGee once again?

Please dont let Jem sing that!

But that is what i was thinkin, why couldnt the rest of the Pogues sing more then one song?
I like Terrys voice.(i will get a good kick in for sayin this, specially from Mr C)But i think Terrys the best singer in the Pogues, and he should sing afew songs at least!

Really?
I might be the only one... but I don't like Terry's songs (and voice) as much as Shane.
I would take Shane Macgowan for all songs (except Mr C. on Thousands Are Sailing and Andrew on Star Of The County Down).
Maybe even Spider on Johnny Came Lately or The Wake Of The Medusa (not Tuesday Morning)

I would definately replace Young Ned Of The Hill for another song (Transmetropolitan)

But that's just my opinion.
