The second time I went to see The Pogues was in the 80's at the International. Can't remmeber who supported them but it was the first time I heard Honky Tonk Woman done by them and Kirsty was on stage doing FONY.
The seminal moment was when they announced it was Darryls Birthday and bought a huge bottle of Champagne on to stage. If I remember rightly by the end of the night no one was left standing on stage.
Can anyone let me know the year. I think it may have been 1988 but the memory is fading.
Does anyone know of any bootlegs? PM me if so.
