THANKS FROM THE POGUES

Post Thu Dec 22, 2005 1:35 pm

As the tour winds to an end, The Pogues would like to express their gratitude to all the many people who make that 2 hour show possible day after day.

Among these are DJ SCRATCHY, ROSS DUNCAN (Tour Manager), GERRY WILKES (Assistant Tour Manager), JOEY CASHMAN (Assistant to Mr MacGowan), EDDIE McCANN (Shane'sDriver), JACK ( Driver for Mr Woods and Mr Chevron), STEVE SUNDERLAND(Production Manager), STEVE WALSH (Stage Manager), IAN TURNER (Lighting Design), PAUL SCULLY (Sound Design), ADEN GREGORY (Onstage Sound), JOS GRAIN (Instrument Tech), BUDDY (Instrument Tech), FIONA MacKENZIE (Catering), SIMPSON DONALD (Catering). NORA and TOM (Filmmakers), PADDY MATTHEWS, WILL DOYLE, MIKE OSMAN, VINCENT PERREAO (Sound), ANDY MELLENEY, MATT MORRIS (Lights), BILLY HICKS, PETE SAVAGE (Bus Drivers), JOHNNY HOLAN, PETE IAWN (Truck Drivers), SIMON MORAN (Promoter), STEVE ALLAN (Promoter's Rep), ALL AT SJM, RIMA (Travel agency), CLARE UTTING (Agency), DF CONCERTS (Glasgow Promoter), DAVE CORBET, ROBIN SCOTT (DF Concerts), DENIS DESMOND (Dublin Promoter), AIDEN LEE (MCD Rep), ELLA FINER (Vocals), CERYS MATTHEWS (Vocals), KATIE MELUA (Vocals), PHILIP RAMBOW (Justice For Kirsty) and his many volunteers, ALL AT ADDIS AND CO, especially MARK, HELEN and ANGELA. ALL AT WARNER BROTHERS, especially MATT THOMAS, SARAH ADAMS, GENNY DWARKA and CLARE LE MARQUAND, ALL AT HALL OR NOTHING, especially TERRI HALL, ALL THE MERCHANDISING PEOPLE, THE DROPKICK MURPHYS.............and look, if you're not listed here, it's only cause we did not have enough time to ever get to know your name, but we love you anyway.

Special thanks to Anthony Addis and, as ever, all our terrific and loyal fans who do the real hard work, and all our partners and loved ones and children (hang around long enough and you may join the band). Happy Chistmas to the arse of one and all.

Thanks Mr C. Best wishes to you and all the band.

Hopefully there will be more good times in 2006.

Come back to Brighton sometime. You played four storming gigs here in late 80's and 1990 which went down in local legend. You could get the Levellers to support. Now that would be a great evening

Thanks to you and the rest of the band Philip. I always thought the Pogues had a particularly loyal and devoted following...making us a bit special, like the band!
