I should point out that Mac sang it in a different key (A) on the record from the one I use on stage (C) so our versions are not automatically interchangable, even if that was a policy we wished to pursue.

I learnt the song from the Best of the Pogues song book in A. Does that mean I have to learn it in another key ?

If you're in the Pogues, I'd say yes. Sounds shit if everybody plays it in C only you play it in A :lol:
