gig reviews so far....

Post Wed Dec 14, 2005 10:44 pm

I know this forum is probably not the best place to see a totally objective review, but (early days yet)......the posts have been pretty favourable so far.

I just wondered how the band themselves felt the shows were going...& also have there been any reviews in the national press yet?

Cheers - Dominic (still on a high from Cardiff 14/12)

We live moment to moment, Dominic. Tonight we made a complete bollocks of The Irish Rover but we did play The Old Main Drag for the first time this tour. AND we had Territa, Texas Mick, Carmen and Sheva say Hi after the show, not to mention Josephine Behan (wife of Dominic) and a sizeable chunk of her family. So, all in all, mustn't grumble........

No, elaborate measures have been put in place, involving security vetting, full medical examination and a written test on the Works Of James Clarence Mangan. If Membership Cards of proscribed organisations (NRA, GOP, Tories) are found on your person, you may be invited to meet Garth Brooks instead.

Or you could just ask in advance.

Philip,

Is there any secret to getting into the pit in the point? Is it just a case of turning up early enough or do you know.

Which part of the Point is the Pit?? If it's the first 10 or 20 rows of heaving humanity, I'd say get there very early and RUN to the front when they open the doors.

You don't have to run Phillip, I manage to get to the front no hassle during the support act.

Yes, I now have a laptop. And this is my day off, so I'm just tapping away in my hotel room in Glasgow and listening to Shostakovich (well, watching Murder She Wrote, same thing) before heading into town for the evening. Some of the others are going to see Oasis later, but I'm not really a fan of rock music, so I'll probably see the panto at the King's Threatre instead.

Any particular place in the point to get the arm band or is it just up at the barrier.

Thanks.
