re the Carling Academy

Post Sat Dec 10, 2005 9:05 pm

i've just sat down and looked at some of the comments about the Glaswegian Bar,and would like to put our view across :D

the Glaswegian is a bar on the southside of Glasgow, only a few 100 yards away from the venue, the clientele are mainly supporters of Glasgow Rangers, so therefore it might be disrespectful to wear the colours of our city rivals(celtic) whilst entering the bar.
it has been said in an earlier post about people not being allowed in last year, mistakes were made, inexperience and bad advice from regulars and strathclyde's finest may have played a part in this.
it's a year on now and the bar staff are more than capable of dealing with any problems(not that we're expecting any)although there will be a high police presence :(
anyone heading to the Glaswegian Bar will be made welcome if they want!, if not, why not try the brazenhead,i'm sure you'll be made welcome there.
enjoy your concert from the management and staff of the Glaswegian Bar.

Thank you Glaswegian Management. I'm delighted to hear that things are not so screwed as I had come to understand them to be.

I couldn't help noticing that at Glasgow Airport the Rangers and Celtic merchandising shops were, rather sweetly, side by side.
