it seems they'll take a bit longer to sell out the pre-sale. The Borgata doesn't have the best room for a show there, and it only holds about 3700 people. I saw R.E.M. there last year, but that wasn't General admission.

will be good to see The Pogues in my hometown...and I was fortunate enough to get tix in my current town of residence: DC (well, Arlington, VA)

it's a shame that Atlantic City no longer has it's *true* pubs anymore...long been sold and the barmen back home in Ireland...

sigh...the good old days...

Got A.C. Tickets, prefer D.C.!

Post Fri Dec 09, 2005 1:34 pm

When the DC tickets were gone, I got some for A.C. instead. However, if they end up adding a date for DC, or if there miraculously turn out to be more tickets for the March 10 gig, I'd definitely be interested in getting those and selling the AC ones, probably at cost.

Of course, the AC ones aren't sold out yet, so I bet I'm SOL.

I signed up on the 930 club mailing list but... that was a dirty rotten trick to open the public sale hours before the "presale." Made the "presale" into a "postsale," which kind of defeats the whole purpose. :x

Is the "Irish Pub" still around on the Boardwalk? Don't they have rooms upstairs? Anyone know what its like to stay there, or any advice for an El Cheapo hotel for the night? The Borgata is sumptin' like $450 a nght, so they can ask me bollicks!

starting in the heart of AC, i drove, stopping at motel after motel looking for anything under $200. by the time we found one, i was almost home, so we aborted. nothing is cheap there... nothing. the vibrating bed had a slot for silver dollars. ridiculous.

notwithstanding...

Post Wed Dec 14, 2005 1:07 pm

If there is a second show in DC and I get tickets, I'll be happy to sell my Atlantic City tickets (3) for what I paid plus postage. Like everyone else around here I'd rather see them go to a real fan than a scalper.

I've been checking this site and the 930 Club site and god knows how many others for an official notice, but I hope someone in the know will post the news here, if they hear it first.

Please see the front page and this post.

Short version - a new DC show has been announced.
