This nonsense about Shane not turning up or being totally incoherent has been totally proved wrong .Just view the opinions of the fans who have witnessed his performances this Christmas! The Press always play up the "Shane out of his head" angle, but try getting wasted and remembering the second verse to any song!

Shane is Shane. He doesnt give two monkeys fucks what people think of him.Never has.
He drinks cause he wants to drink.End of.
Its his life.

Ive seen the Pogues and the Popes numerous times since 85 and hes never failed to deliver once.
Who are we to ask questions of anybody ?
If you dont think Shanes capable of lasting the whole show-Dont go.
Ive seen the band twice on this tour and its been a fucking pleasure.
Would Shane be the same if he didnt drink ?
Would we soon be asking Why doesnt Shane start drinking again cause hes not the same without the drink ?

I like the guy the way he is.
Theres never been one bit of superstar shit to come out of Shane MacGowans mouth. The guy is a genuine down to earth bloke.

Just enjoy the mans genius.

Personally I can't wait for Thursday having seen Shane twice Already this year once with The Pogues and once With the Popes I know what to expect from Shane which is a great show no matter which band he's in but The Pogues are something special especially at Christmas.
