Last ever tour?

I read Mr C wrote one time about (I think it may have been the last uk tour) that it was probably the last chance to ever see the Pogues live. However, in NME, when the announced the tour the called it something like the 'now annual Pogues tour'. So... does anyone think that these 2 tours will indeed be the last chance to see them live or will the tours indeed turn into an annual event?

I could say about then having new material but really this is quite dangerous as so far the pogues backcatalogue is virtually flawless and if they made a comeback album which was only average then perhaps this would destroy the pogues legacy!

I read that too, it was definitely about the last tour. I was surprised when they announced this years one. I think that whatever the lads say, something will always bring them back together to play again.

Probably that the last one went so well and they had a great reaction and it didn't sound tired that they thought fuck it last do it again or maybe the fact they're re-releasing 'Fairytale' and they have to tour to support the single.

i think they'll keep playing/touring as long as they can....i know shane will....so therefore the rest of the lads probably will too

I can picture them playing forever, turning into some sort of show band (god forbid). Getting more and more traditional as time goes by, which wouldn't be such a bad thing IMO.
