I'm just glad I got my 4. Anyone else who wants to go now will be paying a fortune I think!

now SHIT! A second show for Boston...got a decision to make, so I ask for tickets for both shows and pay for lodging for two nights, and get to see a little more of Boston...or do I try to get better seats for the second show, and sell the seats I already got.

This shipping tickets to Canada within 48 hours of the show complicates things a tad bit.

Does anyone know...might I expect the tickets much sooner than 48 hours before the gig? Are they "guaranteed" to arrive within 48 hours of the show, or do they try to get them out ASAP?

If the show is the TUESDAY the 14th, then tickets are to be expected to arrive at least by Sunday. There's no post on Sunday or Saturday, so they'd have to arrive by Friday, 'cause I'd have to leave from Halifax by Monday at the latest...well, in all reality, I could leave Tuesday morning and theoretically arrive before the show.

Presumable, I could leave Tuesday morning, see the show and not drink, and leave for home afterward...not ideal, but if money's too tight for a hotel, it's an option.

What's the weather/temp. like in Boston in March? Maybe I'll pack a space heater and hit a nearby campground with cottages like I did last time I was there...during late august.

Where is this? I don't really care much, as long as I have tickets, and not in the balcony. If people are going to forget their seats, and go to the stage, I don't wanna be in the balcony.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the location of these seats?

Your seats look pretty good, not the best. I actually think mine are pretty close to yours - being off to the left from the stage. At least we're not in the balcony!

Regarding the weather: at this point it's a crap-shoot. It might be a warmish spring day or it might be wicked cold, rainy and/or snowy.

I don't have any information about the tickets getting sent out - but I'd like to hear from others.

Also - the original Boston show (as of this posting) hasn't sold out. I'm not sure why people think that. I just visited ticketmaster's website and they still have seats in the Mezzanine.

I'm struggling to decide if I can afford to see both shows or just stick with what I've got.

i dont want to sound like an expert, but i have never had a problem with ticketmaster tickets arriving on time. they usually send out an email (if you purchased online) first when they are printed -your physical tickets- and then when they have been sent. although i cannot agree with the way ticketmaster works for purchases, i must admit their customer service department is not only quite helpful but also very effiecent and proactive when it comes to tickets purchased prior to any potential call you may make to them - i think you are safe

yeah, ticketmaster worked well for RENT in NYC a few years back. Tickets were waiting for me at the show.

I really can't afford to make a real trip of this trip to Boston. I'll be in school until April, so during the concert is about the time a bunch of assignments will be coming due, and a bad time to be missing classes.

Plus, I'm always broke enough as it is. I may have to get my hands on a new Visa or something and hold onto it until Boston.

My last road trip, 8-days to NYC and back, rund trip only cost about $1300. for two, five years ago.

Orpheum

Post Fri Dec 16, 2005 2:19 pm

If any of you good people have seats in the first row of the balcony, you are lucky indeed. Aside from the rows right up in front, they are the best seats. After those, I cannot sit in a balcony. The Orpheum is a great place to see a show, but things can get odd. A few years back (okay MANY) I saw the Ramones and Social Distortion. I had seats in the fifth row and was overjoyed. However, they would not let you stand up. I don't mean mosh, dance , pogo, or anything like that. I mean STAND. Would not let you do it. Like it was chamber music or some such thing. But that hasn't always happened there, so we'll see.

The front of the balcony at the Orpheum is a great seat- good sight lines and accoustics. I grabbed two tickets, for the first show, in one of the side dress circles, and I'm really looking forward to that.
