Looks like they go on sale 10 December. That's all I know.

Now what?

Ok. Here we are. I'll cut to the chase -- lets help ourselves here. Lets hear some suggestions (serious) about how we might help those in need. If you are reading this you probably know about the royal cock-up with the 9:30 club (hock, spit) releasing the tickets early. Tickets sold out lightning fast. Fans are now paying $200+ on e-bay to see the show. Groups of friends are now having to choose who is going and who is not. I'm in good shape, as I was lucky enough to get two in the "pre" sale that lasted all of two minutes. Now I only have to choose between is my wife and my best friend... cuz I'm goin. And there are all kinds of positive things I'm seeing in this situation: 1) tickets sold fast, good for the band, guess we showed the Pogues that we love em at least as much as any other city out there; 2) already I see fans out there with a spare ticket offering to others in the forum, private messages, etc... 3) and though I don't remember where I read it, or maybe I was dreaming, I thought I read that there were other announcement pending, as the promoters were possibly going to announce some kind of ticket relief soon, or maybe some additional shows. In the mean time, surely there is something we can do as a group. Thoughts?

When all hope be gone.......

Post Sat Dec 10, 2005 1:53 am

I'm giving away two DC tickets.(that I can, and should, use myself but I'm not gonna). Why? Altruism? Stupidity? Probably a little of both but mainly because I'm trying to keep my radio show in Richmond, Virginia going. I'm on a small commercial station, must sell my own ads (which I do. poorly.)
The show is a total labour of love, I don't make a thing. Blah, blah blah.
The GOOD PART: no play list, total freedom.

So if all hope be gone regarding tickets for DC show, here's a chance. A good chance too. This aint like the lottery.
