So they'd welcome a load of Pogues followers in Celtic shirts then?!?

And a sentence with both lager and ace in it - miraculous

why anyone would want to wear football colours to a concert is beyond me :D

It's more a sign of Irishness and being Catholic than football, Celtic F.C and The Pogues fit like a hand and a glove plus Shane's a Celtic fan to.

YES! I'll be arriving in Glasgow Tuesday at noon and am looking forward to meeting up with folks at the Scotia (my friend won't set foot in the Brazenhead, lol). See you there!

Glasgow is such a fantastic city, the Scottish are a great bunch of lads. :) Don't think there's much cause for concern. If you're worried about it just leave the Celtic jersey in the suitcase though. :D

Enjoy! 8)

Just curious, is it really a sign of Irishness, or is it really a Catholic thing? Had a very good friend from Glasgow impress on me the Rangers vs. Celtics relationship, but I never got the Irish part... even though his family was from Ireland.

The Irish are Catholic so thats why they support Celtic FC.
Plus Celtic FC is more of an Irish club.

Phil I would never dispute the fact that The Pogues are open to everybody. Infact I have been telling my friend, both celtic and rangers fans, that for years. Infact out of the 10 people going to see you next wednesday four are prodestant and two of them are rangers supporters.

The point I was making that unfortunately some parts of Glasgow aren't open to everybody and too readily associate the Pogues with Celtic due to the Irish background.

Anyway, Look forward to hearing you next week.
