US SHOWS - ADVANCE SALE for MEDUSA PEOPLE

Post Wed Nov 30, 2005 10:18 am

I have been given this link for online ticket pre-sale for anyone who wants to steal a march on the general public. I'm told the booking fees are cheaper as well.

Fabulous, Philip - thanks mucho!

To folks who use this - the fees are cheaper than ticketmaster, but the tickets can take forever to arrive. Just a word of caution.

Does anyone have any experience of this so called "will call" that this ticket site have? Here in Sweden I've never heard of it. And I'm going to study in the us after xmas but don't know my adress there yet so I think this is my only option.

"Will Call" is a common practice of buying tickets but having them held at the venue instead of being mailed out. At the venue there will be a window (or ticketing booth, or something) labeled Will Call. They'll have the tickets and your name. You'll typically have to present a photo-ID to claim the tickets (and some places have begun requiring prenting the purchasing credit card too).

I've never had a problem with Will Call at at event.

I've never really had a problem with a Will Call event except at General Admission shows. They only open the window a few minutes before the doors open or sometimes just when the doors open which means you can't really get a good place in line. For assigned seating shows there ought to be no problem.

This service looks pretty cool, thanks for letting us know about it Mr. Chevron!

GODDAMNIT!!

Forgot about the pre-sale until 5:33, at which time my computer decided to freeze and needed a boot. By the time I got in, two of the three NYC shows were SOLD OUT.

DAMN!!!!!

I just looked about thirty seconds ago. March 16 and March 18 indicate tickets still available.

---

And now, thirty seconds after I post this, it says Pre-Sales sold out again.

---

And now, thirty seconds after that, March 18 is available again.

I guess you should keep checking back. :)
