Ah. Didn't get that far... tried to find the location on the web before leaving, but found no malt shovel nearby. But never mind, 'twas a great evening anyway. :)

Sorry we missed you firehazard. We looked for you in the NIA but couldn't see for the crowd.

I trecked all up and down the canalside for half an hour before asking a friendly local who said there was no malt shovel but there was a malt house and I figured wwfcpogue might have a novel approach to digging.

Good to meet wwfcpogue, soulfinger, MissWalshy, MissWalshys sister and MissWalshys brother in law in the malt house last night.
Hopefully we can meet up again at a future Pogues gig also a big thank you to Mr Chevron to dedicating Thousands Are Sailing to MissWalshy once again showing the class of the man.

Well worth it I'm sure, but I think me and the Mrs. will occupy the open spaces at the rear of the Nokia. Too old for flying elbows and head butts.

Oh what a night!!

I tried to write a reply last night when I got in but I fell asleep mid drift.

I have certainitly started my twentys off with a bang nothing for the rest of this decade will compare to Sunday night. It was FAB. Started off by accidently bumping into the boys I was like excuse me can I ask you something and WWFCPOGUE said wait, are you MissWalshy! I screamed lol!! Met with the great Soulfinger - what a top bloke! (hope the Sambucas went down well Boys!! )

Whilst at birmingham decided to discover the town by having a drink in the Walkabouts the Llyods bar the Sports bar - Scruffy duffys the Brass house the Pitcher and Piano and finally making it to the MALT HOUSE!! I was in good form though not really being able to get drunk as I was way too excited!!

The gig? - OMG!! We had a bit of a disaster at the very begining, I don't know why I done it, we walked up near the front and was having the craic with the surrounding Pogues fans then on come the lads first bar of a tune and we're flying. there must of been twenty people on the ground. I lost my shoe!!! Found it again though!! :))) managed to pull Katharine and Paráic out ouch some of us have bruises today. Enjoyed the rest of the gig it was FANTASTIC. How many people would you say was in the NIA? Looked like Thousands. Philip struts up to the mic says this song is for MissWalshy I nearlly faint. I'm screaming like a mad women with the sore throat that I have!! I was nearlly in tears I was so so happy. Its all thanks to Philip - what a great great great guy he is. He came out and said hello to me and I got him to sing happy birthday and james sang it too although James was like give me an accordian and I'll play it I can't sing I was like do it!! and he did. Fine voice you have there James.

I am the most happiest girl in the world - I don't think anyone could be happier.

Thank you Philip.

Walshy!
