I'm staying in the Ibis on Portland Street. Is the MEN far from here? Is it walking distance etc...

Cheers

Alas I didn't, although I have an Ibis location book but the map is small without much detail. Me and my mate + wives are staying there. Just wondered how far it was to the Venue...

Looking at our map, it is quite a walk. The girl at Manchester Tourist Information told me it would only take about 15 or 20 minutes to get there.

Your Suggested Walk from the IBIS to the MEN

Post Fri Dec 16, 2005 8:14 pm

Turn right out of front door and up Princess Street for c. 200 yrds. Stop 01- O' Sheas. From O' Sheas carry on up Princess Street to jcn. with Portland Street; turn right and try the Castle and Circus Tavrn ( a piece of old manchester). Turn right out of the pub door and right again back onto Princess Street; proceed 500yrds to Albert Square & sample some german hot wine ! From square carry on up John Dalton St; cross Deansgate & turn 1st right down the alley to Mulligans!

Back onto Deansgate and five min walk to MEN !

Went into Waxys at the appointed hour but could not see a celtic tops for all the DropKick shirts. Did you all find each other?

Perhaps next year? :?

Did you go back after the gig? I had to retire after chasing after the roving beer sellers all night!

After a long journey and an exhausting day of Christmas Shopping I fell asleep in my hotel room. Woke up late so I had to run directly to the MEN-Arena. :(

We were late. 6.15 ish. No trouble getting the lad in, but big trouble actually getting a drink due to queue at the bar. My patience failed and we went to the MEN where I'd've happily paid the £3.50 for a can of black stuff several times over. :x

Niall and I found each other. My partner and I got to Waxy's at 3.50 and Niall was in at 4.10. I left him at the back of the arena with his mates and went to the front. Sorry Niall.
