I remember that Shane played a bit of the old beer tray at Brixton last year, too...
But this morning I can't quite access the bit of my brain that remembers what songs/s... :?

It was Fiesta, the final song of the night. He threw the tray out into the crowd afterwards.

Yeah, I remember Spider doing that. Wished I'd been near enough to catch it. Has it turned up on ebay yet?

The Wild Rover

Post Fri Dec 09, 2005 1:03 pm

The Wild Rover would be brilliant. One of my favourite memories is at Hammersmith Palais as they came back for an encore the crowd were singing

"And it's no nay never, no any never no more, will I play the wild rover, no never no more"

Shane stopped and stood there listening. It was fuckin deafening. Then he said "That was beautiful" The first and last time I heard him compliment the audience.
I'd shoot back great belly crippling buckets of beer

Closing with wild rover would be utterly amazing, here's my perfect end, Since they did 2 encores last christmas, do 2 again. Close out the actual show with fairytale, close the first encore with the band played waltzing matilda, and the last encore with wild rover.

I'd like to see the "eerie" opening to Turkish Song of the Damned, The Dark Streets of London, South Australia, Maggie May and Kitty. If I had to cut some songs it would be Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah and Fiesta. Harsh I know but I think it would be worth it.

PS

If I could only hear them play one song it'd be NW3 but there is probably no chance they'd play it... sigh.

Yeah I personally dislike fiesta and Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah, so I wouldn't be broken up if they dumped them
