Serious set-list predictions.

Post Wed Nov 23, 2005 3:38 pm

Ok, there have been rumours and loads of different threads since the new tour has been announced about a tweak of set-list, and Philip had hinted on the forums for a bit, anyone have an idea of they think will make the shows?

How about including "You Can't Teach an Old Dog New Tricks" into the setlist? ;) ;) ;)

Yes, since there's no new material (at present!) I hope they do dig deeper into their back catalogue rather than just repeating last year :D My wish is for Worms!

The King says they should play 'And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda' as it will go down a treat and also it is on The Very Best of so some people who dont really know the Pogues too well will also know it. 8)

I've been to the last three reunion tours including the amazing small warm-up at Manchester Academy four years ago. I always think I'd like to hear stuff they don't normally do but then they come on and are always amazing doing the usual sets and you forget about the ones you wanted to hear. That said would love to hear Lorelei - wonderful song - if you're listening Mr Chevron!

waltzing matilda would be amazing - they used to do it in their encores back in the old days, a glorious respite from the helter skelter of the fast numbers. Shane's battle weary vocals could put a tear in the eye of grown men!

"Miss Otis regrets/Just one of those things" would be great and they could do something special while playing this song ! They never played this song in the previous reunion gigs. Anyway they need a great female voice to play this song (it was Kirsty McColl in the original version).
