If it's on TicketMaster and Medusa, it's good enough for me. Just as long as I can still get to the matinee of The Most Happy Fella at the New York City Opera that day. 8)

We aim to copy/paste what others have said, and to do it with authority. :)

Well I thought I was lucky having The Pogues play at all in the USA, let alone in NYC, me living in NJ, and I can just about trip and end up in NYC. So I did as anyone else would and got tickets to the 3 NYC shows and the AC show. And now I hear about the March 19 show, and I think "crap I don't have any money after christmas shopping." But March 19 being my 21 birthday I feel just about obligated to be there, very intoxicated, and very happy seeing the pogues 5 times after only hoping I'd ever see them.

You'll have to tell us what it's like to see them four times while sober, and then once while blind drunk ('cause it'd be wrong, see, to drink before your 21st).

Where does a 20 year old get the money to pay for five Pogues shows?

Seriously, I'm 19 and I could only afford to get the tickets to AC for an xmas present from the 'rents. Wish I could afford all the shows

I'm 31 and couldn't afford Boston tickets myself (xmas gift fron the 'rents). But then, I'm a starving student.

Here's hoping I have enough cash to actually get to Boston. I see late-peyment calls coming my way some time mid March.

I have been a fan since 85 and never had a computor or info on a genuine, best band ever, iconic, shit face drunk, chance to see my Irish brothers live. God bless the Pogues for coming to AC. They would sell out in Ocean City,Md too. Kiss me quick, I'm coming!!!!!!

extra tickets for boston

Post Sun Dec 18, 2005 10:30 pm

Looks like I bought too many tickets for the boston show on the 15th. Depending on how many of my friends decide to come, I'll have 2-6 extra tickets and would be willing to sell at face value if anyone missed out on buying them. I could also swap for NYC tickets. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Happy days! Just got in to find my 17th March tickets have made it safely across the Atlantic! Came over for St Patrick's Day 2001, saw Shane MacGowan & The Popes at Webster Hall, which was good, but The Pogues in NYC on St Patrick's Day......things don't get much better.

Hey Robin,
I'd be happy (ecstatic) to take a pair off your hands too. Tix are already well over $100 a pop on craigslist here in Boston, and at 5:32 Thursday all the pre-sale pairs were gone for me...

Anyway, drop me a line. I'll respond asap: rn_durham AT hotmail.com I can do cash/whatever and won't give you any run-around.

Robin -
If you still have a pair left, I know someone who would love a couple seats together - (not for me, seriously would be a gift). Hoping that yours may be a bit better than whats left on Ticketmaster. Anyway, if you have a couple left, let me know with a Private Message. Thanks

eBay analysis

Post Tue Dec 20, 2005 8:51 pm

I just looked at what tickets were available on eBay, then thought it would be interesting to see how much they are actually selling for. Sit down for this mates:

Washington, D.C. -- broad range, but generally $150-200 per ticket
Boston -- generally $75--100 per ticket
NYC -- genearally $110-150 per ticket

Again, that is what they are selling for. There are some posts who's time past and there were no takers -- some outrageous asking prices. Also, by far, the Washington D.C. tickets (also the smallest venue) are the most numerous. Gee, do ya think that has something to do with the way the tickets were released? Someone must have gotten their palm greased, and its not the band or the fans.(pure speculation on my part)
