Well I think since we don't know the name of that mysterious pub, I think we'd all be better off somewhere we can name. Porterhouse has been mentioned, I can't remember if I mentioned the Palace Bar. They have great traditional music upstairs, a great bar on street level as well, and Shane is known to hang out there when in town. I'm personally partial to Kehoes and Hogan's as well as Palace. Anyone else any suggestions?

Well so far we have:

Porterhouse
Palace Bar
Kehoe's
Hogan's
...the mystery Bar...

Would be nice if we could all agree on one location, but I dunno how likely that is. Perhaps maybe going to more than one of these places before the concert in pub crawl-esque fashion?? Speaking of which, how easy is it to get around Dublin anyways?

In any event I wanna see as much of Dublin as I can in the short time that i'm there so i'll keep lurking around this thread and see what the verdict ends up being...

It's so easy to get around Dublin you'll be amazed.

All these pubs are within walking/stumbling distance from each other and the Point is a good sized walk, but doable.

I'm antsy for a pint now...

Perfect, thanks. That mystery pub sounds ideal.
