Me too. Thank-you so much Pogues for making me so happy with this announcement. Xmas is not the same without a Pogues gig.

You should try dreaming it. I have a recurrent dream about the Pogues playing in Newmarket. As far as I know it hasn't actually happened yet, but it seems real to me.

Sounds like you and Roy wouldn't be happy unless the gig was scheduled for your own front room

God, but we're really fucking fortunate to be having any gigs at all. Let alone one so interesting in its concept, with so many "new" songs getting played.
Yes, I'm spoilt rotten by living a half hour walk away from the Brixton Academy. But a brilliant music gig from your favourite band is a massive luxury - if they weren't playing any where near London, or if it was more prohibitively expensive, I'd have to just feel a little disappointed that the stars didn't quite align. Last year, I was sad to be in another country when the band played the 02, and more so when I found out how special recent developments made that gig. But I'm not entitled to any of this.
It isn't a matter of loyalty being ignored. The band/consumer relationship doesn't and can't work like that.

Guys, whats going on here? Getting all worked up about attending or not attending The Pogues in December,some of you seriously need to grow a pair or get laid a something.I am currently domiciled in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, and i have to literally travel anything up to 1000 miles to see my favourite bands.What wouldn't i give to see The Pogues perform in my front room,except i don't have one, it would be one hell of a kitchen party though! Enjoy yourselves,those fortunate enough to be going in December and drink sensibly{?}

Hey, great news about these gigs! I might have to make the trip to London for a night or two. The selfish Pogues fan inside of me would love to see Mr. Chevron strumming in "Irish triple time". Of course it would be fierce handy if there was a Dublin ( or Killarney) gig. I could be working in London soon enough the ways things have gone lately in Erin's Isle. Will the band be kitted out in Naval gear haha....does Rocky O' Riordan get a chance to sing (as long as she doesn't upset too many people haha) I heard Navigators played in Listowel a few weeks back at a show in St.John's Church/Theatre, it was called' The men who built Britain' songs and stories about Irish navvies etc,. Good to hear it,looking forward to these gigs!

Fun pro tip, buy the way. For those of you that like printing posters a large-ish-format JPG of the poster is available by clicking on the thumbnail on the front page. That's for you HennyBoy.
